Privacy statement

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run a fundraiser on Fundy.

• Your name, email address and mobile number.
• For organisations: your NZBN, society or charity number, contact person and location.
• For sponsors: an optional business name and GST number.
• Bids, purchases and receipts.
• Basic technical information such as your browser, and the time and place of a sign in.

Why we collect it

To create your account, to run fundraisers, to tell clubs who won a spot and how to invoice them, to email you when you are outbid, and to keep the platform safe from fraud and abuse.

Who sees it

A club sees the contact details of the sponsors who won its spots, so it can invoice them and collect artwork. A sponsor sees the club contact details on the fundraiser page.

We use Stripe for card payments and an email provider to send platform emails. We do not sell your information, ever.

Marketing

We only email you about new fundraisers near you if you asked for it. You can manage your communication preferences from your profile settings in your account and unsubscribe from a link in any marketing email we send. Unsubscribing never affects the platform emails you need, like receipts and outbid notices.

How long we keep it

Account details for as long as your account is open. Bidding and payment records for seven years, because tax law requires it. Technical logs for twelve months.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email support@fundy.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Security

Traffic is encrypted, passwords are hashed, and access to account information is limited to Fundy only. If a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner.
